A couple arrived home to find a pair of tawny owls huddled together in their wood burning stove on Friday evening. Beverley and Kenneth Parker returned to their Suffolk farmhouse from a trip away and were shocked to discover the owls in their wood burner. After realising the owls were not unburned logs, Mr Parker closed the curtains and opened the doors to release them. The owls circled the room before flying out the front door. They were later spotted perched on a nearby barn. Picture: RSPB / Rex Features
